Numa Verse

Safeguarding the Spirit in the Text

Safeguarding biblical truth in the age of AI.

Numa Verse is building one peer-reviewed standard for what Scripture says, so people, churches and AI can rely on it. It begins with the scholarship the Church already trusts and grows as theologians from every tradition contribute and review.

The Numa Verse dove
Numa, from the Greek πνεῦμα: Spirit and breath. The Spirit in the verse.

How the standard is built

  • Built on published scholarship

Commentaries, books and peer-reviewed work, with every source cited.
  • Peer-reviewed by theologians

Each contribution is checked by peers in its field before it is accepted.
  • Every tradition represented

Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant teaching, each in its own words.
  • Studied in all the biblical languages

Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, with the ancient versions in Syriac, Latin, Coptic, Ge'ez and more.

The question. Our children will grow up asking machines what the Bible says. Will the answer be true? And who decided?

The problem. Anyone can now generate an answer about Scripture in seconds. Most of those answers never say where they came from.

The name. Numa Verse exists so that question has an answer. Numa, from the Greek pneuma: Spirit and breath. Verse: the verse of Scripture. The Spirit in the verse.

The standard. We start from what the Church already trusts: published commentaries, books and peer-reviewed work. Theologians, scholars and students build on it, topic by topic. Their peers review every contribution. What is accepted becomes part of the standard, credited by name and dated.

The traditions. Every tradition is represented in its own words: Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant alike, read in all the biblical languages. Where traditions differ, the standard records it, and leaves the judgment to you.

The first product. Everything Numa Verse makes draws on that one reviewed source, starting with Two Minutes for God: one concept from Scripture, made visual in two minutes.

The invitation. Stand among the first as a Founding Member, or bring your scholarship to the standard. Numa Verse. Safeguarding the Spirit in the Text.

Leaving a legacy

Who is safeguarding our children’s spiritual future?

Most of us have looked for a way to live out our faith that will outlast us. We want to secure the future of our children and our grandchildren.

Some of the wealthiest people in the world are pledging billions to children’s futures. But who is safeguarding their spiritual future?

Our children will grow up asking machines what the Bible says. Will the answer be true? And who decided?

Numa Verse exists so that question has an answer. Theologians from every tradition are building one peer-reviewed standard for what Scripture says, starting from the scholarship the Church already trusts. The next generation can inherit the text intact.

The standard

How is the standard built?

The standard starts from what the Church already trusts: published commentaries, books and peer-reviewed work. Theologians, scholars and students then contribute to its topics and themes. Their peers review each contribution, and accepted work becomes part of the standard, credited by name.

For every tradition

Whose interpretation is in the standard?

Every tradition’s, in its own words. Each topic is built in layers: the text, the scholarship, then what each tradition teaches, Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant alike.

Questions

Questions people ask

What is Numa Verse?

Numa Verse is building one peer-reviewed standard for what Scripture says. The standard begins with published commentaries and scholarship, and theologians from every tradition extend and review it. Two Minutes for God is the first product built on it.

What is the standard?

A reviewed body of knowledge on what the Bible says, organized into 31 fields of study. It sets out the text, what the scholarship shows, and what each tradition teaches. People, churches and AI can start from it when they ask what Christianity holds to be true.

Who decides what goes into it?

Peers do. Theologians in the field review each contribution before it is accepted, and accepted work carries its contributor’s name. Where traditions disagree, the standard records the disagreement and does not settle it. The full method is on The Standard page.

Which denomination are you?

None. Numa Verse is non-denominational. The standard shows what each tradition teaches, from its own official statements, beside what the text and the scholarship show. Readers weigh them for themselves.

Is the Founding Membership an investment?

No. It is a membership. It gives no share in Numa Verse, its revenue or its profit.

What is Two Minutes for God?

Two Minutes for God is the first product built on the Numa Verse standard. Each film takes one concept from Scripture and makes it visual in exactly two minutes, with the full study from the standard one tap away. The first series explores the Book of Enoch.

When can scholars apply to contribute?

Applications to contribute open on 1 February 2027. Theologians, scholars, pastors and students of theology can register their interest now, and Numa Verse sends the application on the day it opens. Universities and seminaries can ask about partnership at any time.

Is my faith information kept private?

Yes. We do not ask for your denomination or beliefs when you join. Where you choose to share them, in a contributor application for example, we ask for your explicit consent first, and we never sell that information.
